SalemMust be able to perform prep and intermediate painting duties and have a diverse background in the painting field. Must be able to perform different physical tasks which require standing, stooping, bending, lifting, climbing on ladders, working from a roof and other high places. Must provide and maintain the minimum tools required for each level (see tool list by level.)
Individual must report to work on time, and must maintain proper work uniform at all times during working hours. Uniform consists of company shirt, white painter pants, and white company hat.
Each individual is responsible for his/her own timesheet. These must be filled out daily with documentation in detail (what you did at each job). Painter must have a valid driver's license, pass a drug test, and work safely at all times. Employee must be able to complete warehouse order forms, safety meeting sheets, supply requisitions, vehicle sheets, and equipment repair forms.
Duties include but are not limited to brushing, rolling, caulking, filling and patching woodwork, repairing and texturing drywall, masking and covering for paint. Moving and resetting furniture. A lead painter must be familiar with ladder placement and safety guidelines. Be proficient in the operation of Airless sprayers, including the cleaning and general maintenance. Must have knowledge of products pertaining to types of paint, solvents and thinners, caulk, putty, patching compounds, and which product belongs on proper surface. Must be able to read paperwork including but not limited to, a map for directions to jobsite and be able to read and understand the job scope. Must be able to run and direct a job and crew to specific tasks in order for the job to run in a professional and timely manner.
Individual must have a positive attitude, must be able to work as a member of a team, comply with all Horizon policies and procedures, and work safely at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to perform level 1 carpenter duties, with the additional responsibility of leading apprentice carpenters in their scope of work. Must be able to perform physical tasks which may require standing, stooping, bending, lifting large loads, digging, climbing ladders, working on roofs, etc. Must provide and maintain the minimum tools required for each level.
Duties include reading and understanding each job scope thoroughly and accurately. Requires thorough knowledge of Carpentry trade. Other duties include, but are not limited to, removing various wall and floor coverings, moving customers personal belongings, removing roofing materials, hauling debris, keeping jobsite clean, digging ditches, pulling nails, moving building materials on jobsites, removing necessary framing members, read and interpret blueprints, be able to do basic framing layout, install trusses, compute and cut stick framed roof systems, install windows, compute and layout stairs; form, place and finish concrete, install exterior and interior doors and trim, install hardware, install cabinets, install sheetrock, install wood and asphalt roofing materials, install different types of siding, construct decks, have basic building code knowledge, ability to supervise other employees when so delegated, ability to maintain records accurately. Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
